I’m over the moon to share our baby boys nursery with y’all today! Figured I could round up all the details here with links. If you’ve followed me awhile, you know how much of an animal lover I am. I knew I wanted to do a safari theme for our boy and decided to keep the neutrals flowing so that his nursery flowed with our home. If you haven’t seen my home posts, we are a neutral-loving family haha! I am SO happy with how this space turned out and it brings me so much joy to sit in here and relax.
If you’re working on planning your own nursery, I thought it would be helpful to share my thought process when decorating/planning rooms. I have so much fun re-doing spaces! His room was our guest bedroom before this so it was fun to start new and fresh. I always go through Pinterest and pin inspiration that I like. From there, I start with one of the big pieces (like the crib or dresser) and buy that first, add it to a graphic, and then slowly add pieces in from there that coordinate. (I use Canva for all graphics)
I actually started with this amazing Safari wallpaper and added from there. Then, I decided to forego the wallpaper when it kept getting backordered and all the baby items were adding up. (Goodness babies are expensive… especially when you’re someone who wants all the things) But, if you’re looking for a fun wallpaper I had to share this one because I just LOVE IT.
This is what you see when you first walk in. We chose a honey-colored crib which ended up working out perfectly with the soft neutrals in this room. His crib is from Namesake Home and it’s the 3-in-1 Convertible Crib in Honey. I added in that ‘safari’ feel with a lion rug and cute zebra sheets. Leaving the rest of the links below!

I love his little changing area oh my goodness. This dresser was my brothers haha, but it was perfect in Ezra’s room. It’s the IKEA Hemnes dresser and then I switched out the knobs for these cute safari animals, it really dresses this piece up. I know a changing basket probably isn’t very practical, but it’s too cute in the meantime haha. Snagged this arch mirror from Amazon for above the dresser which was a steal for $129 but has since increased in price.
As far as what’s on the dresser: an easy access diaper caddy, diaper warmer, a lamp (similar), and I framed a photo of Josh and I. In his drawers, I organized everything using these Amazon organizers as well.
This sweet boy is totally getting gipped of a closet but we live in an older home with small closets so this is what we are working with! The other side (not seen) holds all of our home linens but as you walk in, we re-did this side of the closet with two racks for his clothes and added in a shelf unit for his books, toys, etc. I’m actually VERY please with how his closet turned out, and we really made use of every single bit of space.

Picking a nursery recliner/glider was TOUGH. Everything I liked was insanely expensive and I received so many mixed messages on whether or not I’d use it. Lots of great feedback but the majority was to get a recliner/glider in one and if I do a recliner, that a power recliner is a MUST or else when you sit back up, you’ll wake the baby. So nonetheless, everyone basically convinced me to splurge on our chair. It’s amazing, I adore the bouclè fabric, and it’s extremely comfortable. Plus, it has USB ports to charge your phone which is a plus.

The jumbo giraffe is the cutest safari accessory and I loved how this one went with his room.
Lastly, would this even be my child if I didn’t have a little clothing rack detail for him!? Added in this adorable boyhood sign and a floating rack. Fun fact: this rack was in my office but fell due to me shoving too many clothes on it haha, so then we decided it would be way better in Ezra’s nursery! I filled it with my favorite, special, neutral baby boy clothes. Linking the wooden baby hangers and his name sweater.
I think that covers his nursery! I am so in love with it and cannot believe he is almost here in our arms. What do y’all think about it!? Was it what you were expecting if you’ve followed me and know my decor? Thank YOU for following along this next chapter of our lives, I truly can’t wait to share this stage of my life with you all. xoxo
