Anyone else so sad the weekend is over!? I actually had a really awesome and productive weekend so I’m walking into this Monday ready to take it on. I spent Friday night lounging and watching movies with my best friend, Saturday was snapping some photos with my blogger friend then laying ALL day by the pool with my girlfriends.. y’all don’t even understand the bad sunburn I got though. My stomach and legs are actual lobsters and I’ve been in pain ever since. Later on Saturday night I got dinner and a movie with my guy (We saw The Shack and I balled like a baby!! SO GOOD though) and then Sunday was a day of getting ahead on school work. So that’s my little weekend recap for ya 😉Â
SO. Let’s talk crop tops, shall we?!
I don’t necessarily like them. yup. I think they’re really cute on 6 foot tall models but not on me. I had never seen so many crop tops until I came to college. Some girls style them really cute and I’m like “oh wow, I want to try one again” and others wear the wrong bottoms, they’re showing too much, and the top is a little too tight and I just feel really uncomfortable for them and want to tell every store to stop selling them haha.
A crop top can actually be really really cute though if you know what type fits your body and what bottoms to pair it with. High.waisted. pants. are. your. friend. when it comes to crop tops. Unless you have the killer bod (I definitely DON’T) It’s not flattering to wear low waisted shorts or jeans with a tight top that falls right at your rib cage.
Of course, this outlook varies from person to person but what I’m most comfortable in is something fitted yet loose. I want to be able to breathe and move around and not feel self conscious. This crop top is great because it fits well yet is loose to where you could wear tight skinny jeans or a loose skirt with it and look really adorable.
It’s all on what YOU feel comfortable with and are confident in. I know myself and tight clothing articles are not my friend. With Spring, I wrote in this post that I adore loose high waisted tie shorts. These shorts are freaking adorable and work with any crop top I own.
