My Last Formal Weekend at A Glance

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was a little bit crazy but so much fun. My weekend technically started on Thursday, since it was the first night of formal. I thought it would be fun to do a little weekend in a glance and share some outfit details since I received so many questions about my dresses. For those that are new here, I graduate in May from Texas Tech University and I’m a Zeta Tau Alpha here so this was my last formal 🙁 so bittersweet but this formal ended it on such a good note. MY LAST EVER FORMAL WEEKEND

Our formal was just 2 days this year. Thursday & Friday. Thursday is the super fancy, long dress, kind of night. You have a more sit down dinner, we had ours at Cagle Steakhouse, and then you pretty much go home. I had work at 8am on Friday so I definitely went home right after. I was SO happy with my dress when it came in. It’s absolutely stunning and I love the emerald green color. I paired with some snake skin heels (similar here) and my favorite layered necklace. Josh looked SO handsome in his suit.

Night 2 is a cocktail night. It starts a lot later and you go to more of a bar/club venue rather than a restaurant like the night before. We started early with all of our friends and then around 10pm made our way to the venue it was at. Afterwards, Josh and some of my close girlfriends and I went to a different bar to be with friends. 

I wanted a really fun and different cocktail dress. Something I could wear again and something that wasn’t your typical all black or sparkly dress. I found this gold beauty (sadly sold out right now :() and was in love. It was a little short for me…. definitely couldn’t dance or twirl in this dress but I adored the lace detailing and gold dots. I paired with some old black heels (I call these my bar heels) and a gold statement necklace (similar here).

So sad to think I won’t have another semi-formal or formal weekend to go to, but these last few years a part of my sorority has been the best. Extremely thankful I got to spend my last year with my sister in the same sorority as me too. XO!
