Hey hump day! And wow… can you believe February is OVER after today!?? Tomorrow is Josh’s birthday and the start of March!! Today I’m sharing a little add-on to Monday’s post. I try to find really great retailers to shop from that have awesome prices. I shared in Monday’s post how I enjoy shopping at Shein and other places and how much I spend on each garment typically. I like to think that one day I’ll be able to shop high-end but for now my trendy tops under $50 work for me 🙂Â
I get quite a few DM’s each month from girls asking every possible question about Shein. “How does this actually fit” “Is the material somewhat good?” “What’s shipping like?” Do you enjoy this retailer!?”…. and the list goes on. I love when y’all ask me and I always provide my honest opinion. I’ve been buying and receiving items from Shein for about a year and a half and 90% of the items I get are amazing. With it coming from China and with how cheap it is, you just can’t expect every piece to be everything you hope it to be. There are hits and misses but everything I share is always a hit for me. I never share my misses because I wouldn’t want y’all to purchase it and be disappointed.
I wanted to share how I shop there, my best practices for finding quality pieces, and answer my most frequent questions.
For starters, any sort of top or dress is always a hit. Skirts, pants, and even rompers not so much. I have never had a good experience with the fit…. every time I order my size it’s not proportionate. I typically will splurge on nice quality shorts or pants and I am always changing up my tops and dresses so Shein is my #1 spot to grab new trendy tops. I haven’t tried bathing suits yet but I definitely will soon for y’all!
I think the #1 key when ordering there is to actually have a tape measurer. They have a lot of info about sizing and look at the measurement then measure yourself. Even if you think you know, just double check. Once you get it, it’s really not worth it to return anything so I highly recommend making sure you’re ordering the best fit.
Another HUGE tip not just for Shein but for other sites as well, READ the reviews. Most people share pictures and their own opinions so definitely take a glance at this before adding to your cart.
When it comes to shipping, be prepared for about a 2 week process. I get mine in about a week and a half. I’ve heard of girls having to wait 3-4 weeks. I think 2 weeks is common so just plan ahead when ordering! If you’re gonna order, I recommend doing a larger buy for over $50 so you can get free shipping AND free returns. This is the best option in case something doesn’t fit and you need to return.
When buying for yourself, check out other bloggers (I try to share pieces from them 2-4x a month!), and youtubers that do hauls! That’s what bloggers are here for, to do the buying and reviewing so that you don’t have to purchase something and hate it. Most are really honest so I’d scroll through the #sheingals or #shein hashtags and take a look at what other girls are buying and wearing before you make your purchase as well.
I personally love Shein. It fits my budget and allows me to stay on top of trends. They have great work options and also really cute body suits and mini skirts for weekend looks. I love the variety and the price! Just be careful and cautious on what you’re buying and you shouldn’t have any issues.
For instance, love this dress. I should’ve re-measured my self because I could’ve done a smaller size. BUT, I love it and am gonna keep it because it definitely fits.

I hope this shopping at SheIn post is helpful to y’all that have been asking questions or wondering. Have an awesome day!!
