Girlfriends are the best. I’ve been so fortunate enough to meet the best friends in college. It’s ALL I prayed for coming into Tech. Y’all know I went to Marfa the other weekend and took a little BFF trip that was crazy fun.
Cathleen is one of my greatest friends. (And my girl Maddie, y’all will see her in a post soon 😉 )She is constantly lifting me up, encouraging me, and supporting my blog. I cannot thank that girl enough! This was our second trip together and we had so much fun… even for the short 24 hours we were there. If you have a close friend or friends that you have been talking about going on a trip with… I ENCOURAGE y’all to do it. It’s a great way to refresh your mind and have a good time with the girls that love you most. Here’s my exact reasons why you should take the plunge and get in the car or book a flight NOW with your bff.
If you’e both always complaining about how your town/city is boring and you need a break…. it’s time for a trip! A quick getaway doesn’t always have to mean far and expensive. Look at what’s nearby that allows you to escape for a bit. Cathleen and I have been working/going to school ALL freaking summer and we were so exhausted every weekend that we forgot what it was like to actually have fun. Not kidding haha. We knew we needed an escape to refresh our minds.
Sometimes life gets crazy and that’s okay. I struggle a lot with being so busy that I forget to even ask my friends how they are. I live with cathleen and some weeks we barely see each other because life is so busy. We like to do small things that still allow us to get our stuff done like simply going to starbucks together to get homework done or even taking 45 mins to go to the gym together. I think we’ve both missed just having fun together outside of work and school and we were SO ready to say peace to our  schedules and get away. If you and your bestie need to catch up and have some good girl talk, take a trip! Even if it’s a staycation…. give yourself some social time.
Anyone else? 😉 Haha we both had separate boards on Pinterest all about bestie photos and travel inspo. We took my good friend Michael with us because we wanted him to be there but also so we could take A TON of photos. It may seem silly but I know I’ll be framing these in my house when I’m 40 and busy with children.
Oh man, I’m not sure if there is anything greater than those nights you and your girls are all together and you just laugh so hard you almost (or do) pee your pants. Taking a trip with your BFF means endless possibilities and chances for those my-belly-hurts kind of laughing and probably some hilarious memories. Life’s too short not to enjoy it and laugh!
Like I said above, I hate that I forget some weeks to show my friends how much I do love them. I couldn’t do life without them. Taking a trip to rewind and relax is a great opportunity to sit with your BFF and tell them how much you truly love them and appreciate them for sticking by you and being your friend. We all need to hear that sometimes.
So who is planning a BFF trip now!? Haha I hope this gave y’all some fabulous inspo to take the plunge and go. Even if it’s close to your home! xx
