I think we finally got our cold front! It’s been frigid lately in Lubbock but honestly not complaining. I’m so excited for fuzzy blankets, large scarves, boots, and oversized sweaters. I typically live in very relaxed clothing but every once in awhile Josh and I will go on a nice date night and I LOVE being able to wear my more ‘fancy’ clothes. Not that this look is super fancy but just being able to wear a skirt and dress up in nice boots is SO nice for me because I definitely get tired of wearing the same athleisure and sweaters all the time.
I recently grabbed this skirt (under $50!!!) and I LOVE the wool texture and plaid pattern. It’s definitely going to be my go-to skirt this season. Since it’s neutral you can wear it in a ton of ways. This is also a really dressed up, but adorable, game-day outfit! That’s why I chose to go with knee high black boots to keep it still some what casual. These Jambu boots have a small heel which is my favorite kind of boot. I always like a heel but not too much. You can seriously NEVER go wrong with a black boots. I shared these (will link to internal post) black booties the other week and I wanted to share this pair with y’all as well. A really awesome thing about Jambu is that they also offer this pair of boots in a wide calf pair. I have pretty wide calfs so I love that they have this option! Another great thing about these boots? They’re water resistant! If you live in Lubbock, that’s kind of super important because when it rains here… it FLOODS no matter what. Get 20% off these boots with code AUDREY17 at checkout.
You don’t always have to go all out with a date night look or even a holiday party outfit. Wearing one piece that stands out (i.e skirt!) and some staple boots can easily look so put together and chic. Also….. If you never know what to wear opt for an all black look! It’s sleek and no one will ever know you didn’t know what to wear.
Thanks so much for reading y’all!
