What’s up y’all!? I’m going a bit crazy this week. I’ve been scheduling in study times, blog posts, and events into my planner to get organized for the last final stretch of this school year. FIVE WEEKS LEFT of my freshman year in college?? It’s flown by. I’m headed home this weekend for a little meeting about an internship this summer and then will have to hit the books hard to end the year with better grades than last semester haha. Bare with me these next few weeks on my blog and social media channels… they will be slacking a bit 🙁 but school comes first! (or at least, it does to make my parents happy ;))
I don’t know about y’all…. but I love the spring time. Everything is just happier. I don’t usually like to carry a huge tote or crazy big bag as it gets warmer, I love an organized clutch that I can toss around and bring everywhere with me. With the weather warming up though, the things I put into my clutches change quite a bit.
Spring Bag Must Haves:
1. Small wallet/ Card Holder
Ever since coming to college, I am not a fan of chunky wallets. #nobodygottimeforthat I love my tiny LV coin bag, to slip all of my cards and school ID into. Plus, it fits easily into every small clutch I have.
2. Matte Lip Cream
I love my bright fun lip colors in the summer. What I don’t love? It smearing, melting, or having to re apply it. I’ve found that Matte lip creams dry easily and stay on all day. The one in these photos is from Gerard Cosmetics and they have an excellent selection. If you’re looking for a more affordable one, NYX makes amazing ones too. I have like every color of their line.
3. Extra® Gum
This is a given. I think people always need to carry gum or mints. You never know when you will need them!! Extra® has come out with new packaging that now offers 35 sticks of gum. So, more gum the better right!? Plus, I always hate having to buy a new pack each week and these larger packs are so much more convenient. So, these new Extra® 35-stick packs are in Walmart. You can get them from the checkout aisle. While I purchased the Polar Ice® flavor, they are also available in Spearmint. The packaging is better (durable and recycled) AND there is double the gum so I mean what is better than that!? I love how convenient these are to keep daily in your purse. Give Extra, Get Extra and go get you some gum for the spring season.
4. Small Makeup products
Having small makeup products like eyeshadow, or powder is important to have throughout the day to touch up as you’re running from work or class to dinner with friends. I know my summer is going to be crazy busy each day so having these products at my disposal each day is crucial.
5. Hand Sanitizer
IDK about y’all buttttttt the summer kind of grosses me out. Everyone stays outside (which I love) but you get all sticky, sweaty, and smelly. Plus, constantly being on the go means not taking the time to wash your hands and care for yourself. I ALWAYS have hand sanitizer in my bags to help me feel a little bit fresher on the go.
6. Blotting Sheets
Again, in the spring and summer, the oils come out. I usually have really dry skin but the second the weather warms up it’s like I have oily skin. I love to carry blotting sheets to look a little more normal throughout the day.
