Real talk…teeth are SO important to me. That’s definitely one of the first things I notice about people. For me, I’m CRAZY about how my teeth look. I like them to stay fresh and white, and I’m VERY OCD about my retainer to keep them straight haha.
This girl drinks A LOT of coffee and red wine so I always notice in photos when it’s time for a good whitening session. I get asked how I keep my teeth white (which is such an amazing compliment) so I wanted to round up my routine here for y’all! It’s a super efficient at-home whitening routine with all products available at Walmart.com.
Here’s my 3 steps! Very easy, with proven results!
Step 1: Charcoal.
Charcoal is everywhere now- a- days helping whiten our teeth. I’m a huge Burts Bees fan and their charcoal powder is awesome. Burt’s Bees Charcoal Powder allows you to harness the power of Charcoal, made from Coconuts, to gently whiten teeth for a radiant, beautiful smile! I take a cheap toothbrush, wet it, and dip it into the powder. Pro tip: do this while in the shower!!! It gets MESSY so I will usually do mine while showering haha. I scrub my teeth with this for about 2-3 mins and then spit out. It’s honestly really fun to do too and you can scare your fiancè/husband FOR SURE.
Step 2: Toothpaste.
I’ve used the Crest whitening therapy line since high school honestly. It works amazing for me! They also have a charcoal line that’s awesome, including a 3D Charcoal Deep Clean Fluoride Toothpaste It’s a gentle whitening toothpaste with a formula with charcoal that brightens teeth by removing surface stains. Technically when whitening I do this step as number 2 and 4 lol. I like to brush the charcoal powder out with this toothpaste for extra shine. I also like to brush with this after I do my whitening strips next too! Double the wash, the better in my opinion ha!
Step 3: Whitening Treatment
These are my TRIED and TRUE. I’ve used Crest 3D Whitestrips since high school as well. My mom would never buy them for me so I’d sneak into her bathroom and steal some lol. Then in college I couldn’t live without them. When Josh would come over he would use them and he also got very attached and would use them ALL and I would get so mad haha. Needless to say, we are hooked! The Crest 3D Whitening Strips are awesome to whiten those red wine-stained teeth. I see results instantly! They are safe on enamel using the same whitening ingredient as dentists. I’ll use these about 3x month and the first time I’ll do 30 mins but then the next time that month I’ll only leave it on about 18-20 mins since my teeth will be a little sensitive.
