Happy Thursday, y’all! Can’t believe this is my first blog post this week. I always stick to a MWF schedule but I’ve been a little behind lately. We will get back to regular programming in a couple of weeks 🙂 BUT today’s blog post is super fun and special because it’s featuring my friend, Magen.
Y’all probably follow her or have definitely seen her on my social media before. Magen is a local blogger in Lubbock too!! I think we met last Spring, so almost a year ago! Magen is a fashion, lifestyle, and mom blogger and is amazing at what she does. She’s an open book and shares her faith, family, and everything in between. She’s a mom of 4 and her whole family is SO precious.
I feel so blessed to have become friends with Magen this year. Not only is she such a kind soul, but she’s a huge positive influence in my life and honestly even a role model which I feel is weird to say since we’re friends BUT I really do look up to her. She’s so encouraging and you will just love her.
We wanted to team up to style a piece of clothing and share how we both styled it differently. I’m in my early twenties and engaged and Magen is a mama, wife, and in her early thirties (although I swear she could be 25 or 26!! 😉 ) so it was fun to see how we each styled. Magen has this amazing boho style….. she’s definitely a cool mom haha. We both styled a white blazer and Magen styled a ‘splurge’ blazer while I styled a ‘save’ blazer. Don’t they look so alike!?
Magen has SUPER fun, very different style and I.am.here.for.it. She’s also more petite so if you’re petite, you’ll have to go check out her blog. She styled her blazer with a cute graphic tee, this amazing bling belt (I’m currently ordering… hahhaa) and light wash jeans. I LOVE how her look came together. She also has these adorable oversized sunnies with it and she just looks fabulous.
I styled my blazer (wearing size 4) like I would for work. I actually wore this to work earlier in the day. I know not everyone can wear jeans to work but you could easily swap my jeans for some cute pink or black trousers. I kept everything pretty neutral since the blazer is a statement with the buttons but I styled a plain gray v-neck with my favorite camo jeans (on sale!). I also paired it with a cute studded belt (made sure it was gold to go with the blazer) and then some block heels that are under $25. This is my favorite go-to look with a blazer.
Anyways, this was so fun!! Would y’all like to see us style something like this maybe monthly? Gives me an excuse to hang out with her hahahha. Be sure to check Magen out on IG and go over and read her blog post she did as well.
