My first #WeddingWednesday eeek! So excited to start kicking this off. I’ll have a wedding-related post up the next two Wednesdays as well and then more as we get closer to the wedding and I have more planning done. I’m over the moon to be sharing all about my bridesmaid boxes and the details on how I asked them all.
To start, I’m going to have 7 bridesmaids! All of these girls have been with me throughout Josh and I’s relationship and I couldn’t be more thankful for them in my life. I get so excited thinking about my bachelorette and them standing by me on my big day.
When I first started thinking about how I would ask them, I got very nervous. I wanted something glam and beautifully put-together. I’m not very good or patient when it comes to crafts. I put Josh’s groomsmen bags together (y’all will see that next week) and they were cute but not THAT great haha. When it came to all these special girls I knew I wanted to buy pre-made boxes for them with fun goodies inside.
I came across Sincerely, Me Gifts in the Summer and Kaylee, the owner, is SO sweet and helped me curate the perfect boxes for my girls. She has a ton of different themes and options but I went with the Rose Gold set for my bridesmaids. I can’t even begin to tell y’all how nice it was to find these gift boxes and have someone else do them. It was one less thing for me to worry about and they shipped to me completely put together. I couldn’t recommend this company more if you’re engaged and looking for ideas on how to ask your bridesmaids.
Here are the boxes. They’re great quality and I love the rose gold foil of each of their names. She also sent me one which was so sweet and I was able to capture the inside of them to show y’all what each had.
Each box had a koozie, hair ties (how cute is the little card they’re on!?), a bottle opener, lip balm, champagne flute (you can also do champagne labels and give them a bottle), a ring dish, a compact mirror, and fun shades! The box is so girly, elegant, and love the little sayings on some of them. I LOVED giving these to all the girls I asked.
My best friends! These girls were the first I asked. They have been my best friends since before I even met Josh. The gorgeous gal to the left actually was the one who introduced Josh and I together years ago. These 3 beauties are my favorite people ever and I just feel so incredibly thankful for their love and friendship.
We had all planned on dressing up and going to dinner and I had planned to ask them then so we could all get pics. Well, they’re all still in school and were SUPER busy with packing for break and finals. It was so funny because I was so eager to give them their boxes and ask them that I ended up texting each of them making sure this night was free and it was kind of a mess not giving it away but I think they knew what I was doing lol. It ended up being perfect and thank GOODNESS they all said yes 🙂
One of my best friends but more importantly my BIG. Kayla rushed me when I was going through recruitment my freshman year and also became my “big” a few months later. Extra thankful for her continued support and kindness through everything. She has a huge heart and I’m so excited she said yes to being a bridesmaid. We met for brunch in Dallas when I was in town and I got to ask her then! You can also see a good pic of the inside of her box too! I love all the different little dainty items.
My other FABULOUS bridesmaids are my sister, my “little”, Blair, and Josh’s sister. I asked my sister when we were both at home at my parents house over Thanksgiving, which was so fun for everyone to see. She’s of course my maid of honor! My sorority little, Blair, is the cutest and we got to go to dinner and catch up and I was able to ask her. Lastly, Josh’s precious sister said yes as well! We got to ask her to be my Bridesmaid and her daughter/our niece to be our flower girl the same night over Christmas.
Like I said above, I’m not THAT great with DIY gifts and it was fun making this gift for our sweet niece but looking at it again I’m like…. I couldn’t even cut the paper right!? LOL. BUT, I wanted to share how I asked her. She’s 2 years old and SO precious we love her.
Is she not the cutest!? I love her so much. I found some inspo on Pinterest on how to do her box but we went to Michaels and found this little wooden box and I filled it with some iridescent filling. I added in a nail polish and a ring pop and I made the little saying on Canva. It says: “We can’t say ‘I do’ without a princess like you. Will you be our flower girl?” Ahhh I just can’t wait for this peanut to walk down the aisle throwing petals haha. She is going to be the cutest!
That’s how to ask your bridesmaids and your flower girl. Thank you again to Kaylee with Sincerely, Me Gifts. HIGHLY recommend checking her Etsy shop out. You won’t be disappointed and trust me when I say, letting someone else do the boxes is SO NICE.
