Hey gals! Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet today. Today’s post has A LOT of info/ things going on. Thanksgiving is like 2 weeks away!??? Can you even believe that!? Ahhh- feels so crazy. I wanted to get a head start on outfits to share with y’all so I figured I would round some up. Typically, I share some pretty dressy looks but if I’m being honest, I don’t even wear those to my own family’s thanksgiving. I mean MAYBE I put on a cute top and jeans but I typically wear PJ’s haha.
I know a lot of y’all are in the same boat so I decided this year to share some options depending on whether you do a fancy family dinner or a lazy afternoon lunch. Either way, there’s an outfit for you! I also posted a youtube video with three Thanksgiving outfits as well so you get SIX Thanksgiving outfit ideas and choices in this post today 🙂 I love to help style y’all and give you inspiration!
Lastly, after you’re done reading/watching… I’ve got a wonderful fall giveaway at the bottom.
This outfit is my personal Thanksgiving choice. It’s cute, comfortable, and fits my family’s vibe. We typically do a casual lunch with our family of five, plus Josh (although we are both going separate ways to family this year 🙁 ). It’s very casual so I may start with jeans and top to take a photo in but then I change into this haha. You can’t go wrong with a henley shirt and these joggers are THE BEST thing ever. Also… my shoes are a winter staple.
You might have a HUGE family who plans a big Thanksgiving dinner. I had friends in high school that did this and everyone dressed up for it. So if this is you, then here’s an outfit option. A cute fall skirt with a basic black long sleeve, but adding layered touches with the scarf and hat really bring this outfit to another level. I paired my platform OTK boots but you could also do black pumps if you’re looking for an even more dressed up look.
This year, I believe we are going to go to a friends Thanksgiving dinner the day after so this would be my preferred choice. Casual, a little dressy, but nothing that screams I’m a little over dressed. If this is your situation, you may opt for non-distressed jeans if your family is more conservative but if not, these jeans are some of my favorite. This cropped knit sweater is SO cozy and I love the scalloped neckline. Plus I mean the color of it is perfect for fall as well.
