Hello Hello!! Hope y’alls day is awesome today!
I have frizzy hair, I have thick hair, and I have extremely annoying hair. My WHOLE life, I’ve always wanted naturally straight hair that I could get out of the shower and go. But… that just wasn’t the way I was born. #thanksmom
I’ve learned to just deal with it and be thankful for it. I could be bald, but I was lucky enough to have a full head of un tamable hair so I might as well learn to live with it. When I would go to a salon… I always loved how they round brush blow dried my hair to be sleek. They wouldn’t even have to straighten it and it was straight. So naturally, I figured out how to round brush it myself. (And with a super cool gadget to make it even easier)
So if you have hair like or similar to mine, I hope this round brush tutorial and post helps! xo
Let’s start with products. To get the best results when blow drying your hair, products are everything! These are the three I use: I first start with Kenra Blow Dry Spray. I’ve used this stuff for over a year and I live and breathe it!!! I have at least 4 bottles stashed away, always. It gives it shine, makes it dry faster, protects my hair, and makes it smell SUPER good. After, I go in with another heat protectant, Aquage Thermal Spray. After, I add in a good Argan Oil like this one. This provides my dry ends with moisture and smoothes out my hair. Then I brush with my round brush.
So, products…check. Next, (after I give my sweet kitten a few kisses) it’s all about drying your roots and hair just enough before using the round brush technique. Before we do this, let’s talk about something that’s literally every girls best friend. The Blo&Go is the most efficient way to blow dry your hair. I always struggled with round brushing my hair, and drying it properly when I had to actually hold the blow dryer. This allows you to hang it up anywhere, insert your blow dryer, and go. Now, you have two hands to dry your hair, round brush it, style it, and make it look fabulous. It’s seriously so easy and the Blo&Go provides me the ability to make my hair even sleeker.
I like to start out blow drying my whole head of hair until it’s just slightly damp. Once that is done, I section my hair into three parts and blow dry it section by section. This is also where I bring out the round brush. Here are some great round brush options if you don’t have one:
And, as simple as that, you’re done! I’ve learned that the more patience you have and the more time you spend on sectioning and brushing it, the better results you have. I usually don’t ever even have to straighten my hair now with this method! Especially thanks to the Blo&Go. I also like to blow dry my hair at night after I shower (hence the no makeup look). But I wanted to show that even though with this blog, I constantly have an outfit on, and a full face of makeup… showing your natural qualities are always important. So, here’s me, no makeup and hair all crazy. I’m not always super put together 🙂
