Hey girl! Hope you’re having a fabulous day. Today we’re talking beauty…. But not just any beauty. Specifically, harmful chemicals removed from CVS beauty products. I picked out some favorites of mine to share with y’all.
For a little background, CVS Pharmacy is removing certain chemicals from beauty and personal care lines known to impact health. By the end of 2019, all parabens, phthalates and formaldehyde donors in more than 600 products from the CVS Health, Beauty 360, Essence of Beauty, Promise Organic and Blade store brand product lines will be removed. How awesome right!?? I’m a beauty junkie but I am really trying to get better about looking into ingredients and making sure what I’m putting on my face/hair/body isn’t harmful.
So today I wanted to share some of my favorite chemical-free CVS beauty products that have these ingredients removed.
CVS Health Muscle Relief Mineral Bath Salts- Most shower/bath products don’t have the best ingredients for your body. I’ve shared before that I’m not a huge bath person but I do like a bath when I’m sore or just got done working out and have the time to relax. This product is HEAVEN for a sore body. I also like muscle relief bath salts when I’m sick. My body gets so run down and a bath with these salts always helps me feel a little better.
Beauty 360 Raspberry Shave Gel- Another bath product that is harm-free! This shave gel is amazing and smells SO good. This is one of my favorite buys from CVS and I love that I know it’s not harming my body.
Beauty 360 Hydrating Bar Soap– This comes in a huge 8 count pack. So you’ll be GOOD on bars of soap for awhile. I always like to bulk buy bars of soap though because I go through mine pretty fast. I love how hydrating and light these are and they smell super fresh!
Beauty 360 Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Conditioner- Sulfate & paraben free, can I get an amen!? Haha. But in all seriousness, I am really strict on making sure my hair products are free of chemicals because I have color– treated hair. And putting products with parabens and sulfates in your hair easily rip out your beautiful color, so stay clear! This is a wonderful affordable conditioner that I pick up when I’m out of my typical hair conditioner.
BTW- Most of these CVS beauty products that are having harmful ingredients removed will have a small green sticker on them that says so.
I’m so glad CVS is removing ingredients from their beauty products and I really hope y’all enjoyed this!
