Happy Tuesday! I am still recovering fro my weekend away in Taos last weekend. We had the MOST amazing time and if you follow me on Instagram then you probably saw all of my stories and videos throughout the weekend. Taos is so beautiful and I’ll get a full post up soon on our trip. In the meantime, I wanted to share another work look for y’all that I’ve been loving lately and also talk about a piece you need in your closet for post-grad days.
I’m in the midst of ending another semester. This busy time is crazy and I’m constantly dressing up for not only work at the PR firm I’m at but also for group presentations and projects. With one more semester left, I’ve been slowly gathering great staple pieces for my post-grad work life. One of the things I’ve been loving to style for not only work but also dinner, is this trench/vest. This thing is awesome! The best part, is you can wear it 3 different ways.
I share photo examples, but the first way you can wear it, is as a trench coat. The long sleeve part is separate from the rest so in the winter time you can wear it as a long coat for warmth. My photographer and I were laughing the whole time styling this because I felt like a detective haha! Next, you can take the long sleeve piece off and wear it as almost a dress. If you tie it together, it looks like a darling sleeveless blazer dress. You could wear it with a fitted dress or slip underneath and style it really girly and cute. OR you can untie it and just wear it as a duster work vest with jeans and a blouse.
THREE different looks in one piece. Now, that is amazing! If I wear jeans to work I love to pair it with black pumps. I adore the simplicity yet professional silhouette of this look. Would you wear this for work!?
