HAPPY Tuesday y’all! I woke up SO happy today because I’m going h o m e to Dallas for the rest of the week. I need sleep, family time, and work free days. Anyone else!? I am just so excited to eat good food and be home for more than 24 hours at a time. I’m also excited for our Thanksgiving plans this year!
Before we get all into the plans I wanted to share Josh and I’s outfits. These posts are my favorite each month because we both get to showcase our style together and also get some sweet photos. I can’t wait to frame some of these! These were taken at a local Lubbock coffee shop that has the CUTEST old fashioned van/bus out front. It’s a really cute hangout spot that makes for a wonderful photo op too.
I’m not going to lie, I totally picked this outfit out for Josh. He loves Henley shirts but when he saw the joggers he was a little thrown off haha. The whole ride over we were laughing because he felt so out of his element (for example, my guy LIVES in white wash jeans) but by the end of the shoot he was like “holy moly, I’m going to live in these things.” He loved them by the end, it just took time to get used too! Joggers always look so cool on men and I love how he paired it all together.
I also love our His & Her camo pants and how they compliment each other since his is a blackout camo. My jeans are SO comfortable and I love the side zipper details and torn hem. I styled it super cozy with a fuzzy white cowl neck sweater. It feels like pure magic…. aka like the softest blanket you own. I just want to sleep in it! I definitely recommend this look to all, especially the camo jeans. My family is extremely casual and so is Josh’s family. We will probably be in oversized sweaters and jeans or leggings. I love it!
As far as plans, for the majority of my life it’s always been my family of 5 for Thanksgiving. Which I love, but that’s why I want like 6 kids one day because I want large family gatherings that I missed out on. But I’m extra thankful for this year because we are having two thanksgivings. On Wednesday, all of Josh’s family is driving in to Dallas for a combined day. Josh only gets a few days off work so this worked best. I can’t wait to have more than five at our table and be with all of my favorite people. On Thursday, it will just be my family and Josh and we will be going to Katy Trail bright and early for a nice family walk (our lazy substitute for the Turkey Trot haha) and then coming home for either left overs or I’ve been voting for my dad’s special cheese fondue recipe. 😉
The rest of the week will be dedicated to catching up on some blog stuff, resting, and needed family time. I am soooo thankful for everything I have. Through the good and the bad I’ve never felt more loved than I have this last year. I’m extremely thankful for y’all that take time out of your lives to read my blog and I’m thankful for such amazing friends, family, and of course my Josh! Happy Thanksgiving y’all! xo
