Hi friends! Hope y’all are all doing fabulous. I shared over on Instagram stories the other week about how I was doing a little room re-do and shared how I created an accent wall with wallpaper. I know I know… not your TYPICAL wallpaper haha.
Before my update, my room has always been white and gold with pink accents. I had pink and banana leaf pillows and my bedding was so fun. I love to change my bedding each season and this fall/winter I wanted to transition to more creams/whites and shades of gray. I am a girl on a budget so I typically buy new things for my room from Target. While in Target, I discovered Devine Color which is a paint line sold exclusively at Target that offers affordable paints, spray paints, and wallpaper!
Since getting settled back to school, I really wanted to transition my room to a more fall/winter feel and back to more neutrals. For this update, I got everything from Target. Let’s start with my favorite spot. As y’all can see below, I now have a beautiful accent wall. This was makes my day everytime I see it. I feel like it truly needed this little facelift. It’s a decent sized wall that had nothing on it, it’s just the wall my tv was on. I added this fun Speckled Dot wallpaper in Karat by Devine Color by Valspar (It’s a little hard to see, because of the lighting in my room but it’s so gorgeous!) and it truly completed my girly-girl room. It was also SO EASY to do. My roommate helped and it took us about an hour and a half. I used two of the wallpaper containers and it was perfect for this wall. They have a ton of really adorable wallpaper options at your local Target. One thing I really enjoyed about Devine Color is how it gave me easy, attainable changes for my room. Just the smallest things can give your room a new feel.
Next change is my fun initial monogram. It was a plain and simple wood but I gave it a small face lift by spray painting it white. I bought a can of white glossy spray and sprayed this down within 10 minutes. It took one hour to dry and it was perfectly ready to hang back up! I feel like just making this piece white gave my whole bed area a new look. This is really great if you’re in a dorm, a house, or apartment and looking to re-vamp a frame or the color of something in your home. 
Lastly, for my bedding, I changed out my old comforter to this pinched duvet. I love the little bit of texture. I swapped out my older white blankets that I had at the foot of my bed and updated it with a fuzzy dark gray throw. I added grey furry pillows and two white sweater pillows in front. I also changed out my body pillow cover to this case.
And that’s my new room change! Whether in a dorm or off-campus apartment, Devine Color at Target can help you achieve quick yet great results for a room transformation. I love coming home to this cozy space. It definitely doesn’t help my home body self though because now I never want to leave home haha.
