Hey y’all! I’m so excited for today’s post because if you’re in West Texas, I have a fun post for you! I don’t know about y’all, but I’m a huge fan of Pinterest. If you follow me on Pinterest you know I have my whole life planned on that thing! I have boards for my future wedding, my future children, pretty little things I like, the future puppies I want, my dream kitchen, bedroom inspo, and my at-home office I want one day. I’m a planner. HA. I always see these incredible photos of girls wearing flower crowns and I always swoon over the beautifully crafted floral arrangement you get to wear on your head. Well, when I learned about an event where I could make my own Flower Crown, I was so ecstatic!
A few weeks ago, I got together with my West Texas blogger friends for an event at Jux-Ta-Posh. Jux-Ta-Posh is an adorable little shop with an assortment of items in the Lubbock Depot District. Y’all should stop by! Michelle from Poppies & Peonies Floral organizes Flower Bars as well as Cocktails + Crowns party’s there.
Michelle is a local florist that puts together incredible flower arrangements, and bachelorette flower crowns. Seriously, look at her website for GORGEOUS inspo. If you’re planning a bachelorette or if you want to grab some girlfriends for a GNO, add this idea to your list. You can choose different packages, but pretty much the Cocktails + Crowns event is a 2 hour event of making fresh bachelorette flower crowns, with some food and/or cocktails on the side. It was so fun to catch up with my blogger friends and learn how to make these totally chic flower crowns. I’m slightly artistically challenged so I may have needed Michelle’s help quite a few times lol… 😉
We had Evie Mae’s BBQ at our event with of course some Prosecco. I’ve heard GREAT things about Evie Mae’s so I was happy to try some sweet little desserts out. After the Summer, I’m going to be begging Josh to take a trip out there for some BBQ haha. Â I seriously loved learning about Michelle and her amazing business. I’m a sucker for pretty things and flowers so I was all about this event. After we were done, we snapped some photos in the ridiculous Lubbock wind to show off our lovely creations. Amber from Honeybee Photography took all of the photos y’all are seeing and she did an amazing job!
 The Look:
As far as outfit details, I kept it western chic with a Free People top, my favorite affordable denim shorts, and cute booties that I transition throughout all seasons! Once I added my Flower Crown, the whole outfit felt complete!

It’s events and sweet businesses like these that make me cherish Lubbock so much more. Dallas is home but I love Lubbock more and more each day.
I hope y’all enjoyed this post! Thanks so much for reading!
PS. Michelle comes to Dallas as well, so if you’re wanting a Flower Crown party, you’re in luck! Just shoot her a message!
