The last of my NYFW adventures. I decided to put them together since Sunday was slower and Monday was a half day. I’m currently still trying to catch up on homework and notes that I missed and I’m slightly drowning but hey, it’ll get done!!!
Sunday:
Sunday was a day that was semi- more relaxed. Showrooms are generally closed this day so I couldn’t make any appointments, and shows are usually slim on Sundays. So I slept in a little bit this morning and then got ready with the girls and headed to a blogger brunch. There was a big group of us and we ate at a place called Sotto 13. This place was so darling and the ambiance was amazing! They are popular for their “family” style brunch where you choose a couple things and they bring out enough of each for the table. It was such an awesome meal! Afterwards, I went to the Moynihan Station to visit the Tressemme style salon to get my hair done. This was heavenly! My stylist gave my hair a cute side swept braid that went into a large fishtail bread and it was too cute. After that, I went to Soho to see my friend and we walked all around and then ended up in another restaurant called Tartinery and it was so adorable. We sat and I got a chia bowl (still not sure how I feel about it) but it was great to visit with him before heading back to the hotel to meet some more girls for dinner at this restaurant called Ayza NYC. It’s actually a wine and chocolate bar. They were so lovely and brought out a ton of things for us to try and eat/drink.
I wore this white breezy dress and then threw on my new favorite fall piece! This light pink bomber jacket will be on repeat this fall. Matched this look with some new patent booties that are to die for and under $60! The perfect brunch look in the city.
Monday:
My last day and the most stressful! I got invited to a ton of shows this day and of course I was flying out of town…. So I tried to fit everything in but it left me rushed and stressed… I went to the Louis Verdad presentation at 11am which was one of my favorite presentations! Each piece was so wearable and focused on the denim trend. I was in awe of some of these pieces! From there I left and hurried back to my hotel to grab my bags and headed to the airport! It was a LONG day at the airport. I was invited to the rewardstyle event Monday night and that was the most disappointing thing that I had to miss. I heard it was incredible! I flew from New York to Houston, then back to Lubbock and landed around 11:50… cranky and exhausted haha. Thank goodness I’m settled back home and now dealing with the ton of laundry I have to do!
On Monday I wore this denim top that will be featured again in a separate post soon. I wanted to be comfy today so I went for a sporty bottom half. It was nice because after that presentation I threw on a t-shirt and jacket and left for the airport feeling so comfy.
NYFW was the most incredible experience I’ve endured and the friends/ people I made connections with will forever mean so much to me! So thankful for my friends and family who support me like no other! The love I feel constantly is so real!
xoxo
