Did you know scalp health is just as important as hair health!? Excited to be teaming up with Hairstory today to share a few products that will clean your hair and clean it well without stripping it.
My hair is something I’m still learning / trying to make better everyday! Especially after years of bleach, color, and extensions. I’m all about hair products, masks, vitamins, etc to have better hair health.
Introducing…. Hairstory! Their haircare line is cruelty-free, and helps clean your hair and scalp without stripping it of its natural oils and texture. They’re all about embracing your natural hair and letting your hair do it’s thing! You go online and fill out info about your hair, concerns, texture, etc and they recommend products for you to choose from, here’s my little lineup!
New Wash Original: This shampoo-alternative is paraben, phthalate, and sulphate-free. It’s also detergent free so it doesn’t foam up like most shampoos do. It has a blend of essential oils and saturated cleansers to clean your hair in a new way. I use the the scalp brush after I’ve dispersed in my hair to really exfoliate and clean my scalp. It feels incredible!
Importance of cleansing your scalp:
It’s SO important to take care of your scalp in addition to your hair. I like to use the scalp brush, a scalp rinse, and exfoliant on mine. It can have so much build up which hurts hair growth so scrubbing and taking care of it is just as important.
Undressed: I’m a big texture spray girl! This is an amazing no-salt texture spray. It gives your clean hair a little grit so that curl can hold. I apply this after blow drying to curl and after curling throughout the week then follow up with the hair balm to smooth any frizz.
Hair Balm: This is similar to a leave in conditioner that you use post shower to strengthen and moisturize your hair. I also use this on dry hair to help smooth fly aways. It has evening primrose oil and Jojoba oil to nourish your locks.
Voila! Clean and healthy hair…. or at least on my way to it! Thanks for stopping by the blog and let me know if you end up trying anything from Hairstory.
