EEEEKKKK!!!! My little corner of happiness has turned ONE today!!!! Although I only started taking it seriously 6 months ago….. I put up my first post one year ago, today.
I don’t even know where to begin this post. (especially without tearing up)
A year ago today, I had just graduated high school and closed a super painful chapter of my life. I planned to start my blog as this new chapter had started, not knowing where it would go. I began sharing my whole life; from fashion to what I was up to every day and the hardships as well as the amazing memories I’ve experienced this last year. It’s turned into this little job of mine now, with a growing following of people who show so much support and love. I’ve grown to become confident in myself and this blog which has lead to the most amazing partnerships, new friends, and experiences than I ever could have imagined. I think back to the time right before I began this blog and constantly think about all the crap I was apart of and around and then think to now and how this blog…. a small space on the internet… has brought me so much happiness and confidence and I can’t help but just be so thankful for all of the people who have believed in and continue to believe in myself and this blog. When I started out people were very confused as to what I was doing, even my own mom was like uh… what? I was nervous and a little scared to do this whole ‘blog’ thing and now after all of my hard work and constant dedication, the support system I receive from family and friends is incredible.
I know I post a lot of fashion posts but when I originally started this blog I wanted it to be so much more. Life isn’t about the materialistic things and I can show y’all a new outfit every week but life is supposed to be more than that which is why I love sharing my experiences and travels. With that, I’ve opened up my whole life on the internet. Sometimes it’s extremely scary knowing people I may not even care for can easily know everything about my life by the click of a button. But to me, it’s worth it if I can help another young girl maybe struggling too. I love to help and give advice. Whether y’all want to start a blog and want help, want advice on sorority rush, or you want to talk to someone about how your boyfriend is being difficult. Y’all can ALWAYS email me. Fun fact: I started a blog because when I was going through a really hard time my senior year, I turned to other blogs to be my best friend and there were a few who wrote and made me feel like I was talking to and reading about a close girl friend. I wanted this blog to be that for others. So, always know, my email is in my contact page and it’s not just an email for companies, it’s an email for any of my readers who want to chat as well.
As I enter into the next year of blogging, I definitely want to know what y’all want to see from me. I’m not sure whether y’all enjoy the fashion posts or more lifestyle ones. I’d love for y’all to answer the survey below and let me know what you want me to blog about this year.
Thank y’all so so much for the constant support and love. From my moms friends, my family, my sorority sisters, to even strangers from different states. Y’all are the ones who have made AMS continue and keep going. AMS has so much more in store. I’m so thankful!
