Hi Friends! Wanted to recap our trip to Park City, Utah for y’all. Had a few DM’s from people saying they’re visiting for New Years or in Jan and to share what we did, so spilling it all here.
I surprised Josh with this trip because he LOVES the snow & mountains (I’m more of a beach / tropical gal). I picked Park City and WOW… it was so beautiful. Such a fun place and I want to go back with family or a group of friends. I did notice almost everyone was there in groups!
Park City, Utah Itinerary:
Thursday::
Arrive + check in – we stayed at The Chateaux. I booked it because they had a free shuttle + free breakfast. We enjoyed our stay! I will say that we had the noisiest neighbors and had trouble sleeping each night because of it- very thin walls I guess haha.
Lunch at No Name Saloon. Loved this spot! Fun atmosphere & awesome food. Their Buffalo Chili was Josh’s favorite thing the whole trip.
walked main
Dinner at 501 On Main– Their menu is vegan + gluten free friendly FYI!
The town has a “curfew” of 10pm. Mainly just for the bars + restaurants so things do close down early. We finished drinks + our night at the hotel bar basically every night since they were open later.
Friday::
Breakfast at hotel – really loved that breakfast was included here and it was pretty good too. Served family style!
Spent our morning walking around Deer Valley, watching the skiers, and taking pictures. Everything is so beautiful!
Lunch at Stein Erickson – They had an amazing chicken pot pie and menu in general. Also got their Creme Brûlée because my friend Geordian recommended it! P.S. If you have a larger hotel budget, I highly recommend this hotel/lodge for your stay. It was so nice and beautiful.
Afternoon was spent walking Main Street (where almost everything is). We went in and out of shops, bought sweatshirts, and explored.
Stop in for hot chocolate at Park City Desserts – really delish (they have healthy, vegan desserts + organic coffees) and they have this awesome gallery from the same owners you can sit down at and get warm.
5:30pm Sleigh Ride- FAIL. I booked the wrong date but we were SO excited about this. Everyone told us it was such a fun thing to do. I’m still bummed haha. But if you’re going, we booked with Broken Arrow.
St Regis for dinner (Brasserie 7452)- This was so beautiful! They have a proper nice restaurant but I waited too long to get reservations. Their bar is first come first serve and also has a dinner menu. You take the Funicular up to the resort (kind of like a little ski lift) and it’s super fun. Highly recommend and I’d go early during the day light too. Also- get their hot chocolate for dessert!
Saturday::
Breakfast at hotel
Snowshoeing. I booked our time for 10am-1pm and it was the perfect time honestly. This was Josh’s favorite activity- he loved it so much. We had a blast! I booked this through White Pine Nordic Center. – Ask for Victoria as your guide!
Lunch at Stein Lodge (I’m telling you, we loved this place!)
Nap – LOL. We were so tired from showshoeing we spent a few hours napping. It really takes it out of you!
Sushi dinner at Yuki Yama – I LOVED this place, Josh didn’t think it was too great though. I still recommend!
Finished night with wine at hotel bar.
A few things::
We flew into Salt Lake City airport and drove to Park City (about 40 min drive)
We took Uber’s to and from airport, and used whenever we couldn’t get the shuttle. There were Uber’s…. but not very many!
Book things ASAP. And book a bunch, unless you’re skiing. You can always cancel!
Activities required masks (we were allowed to take them off once we got started on our hike), hotel required masks, and also restaurants.
We loved our time here. Super magical during Christmas season too. Thanks for reading!
