What a year it has been. Like majority of people, I had SO many travels planned and dreamed for 2020. With the virus, it halted a LOT of those plans. When I heard Mexico was back and open and that they were doing a great job with precautions, I booked the first chance I got.
My mom and I escaped for a little getaway last week and traveled to Cabo San Lucas. We stayed at The Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort and let me just tell y’all, this place was a dream. Not only for how beautiful but it was more clean and sanitized than the places I frequent in Dallas.
Getting To Cabo:
We flew Southwest which was really lovely (middle seat open and boarded in groups of 10). We had no issues getting there or getting home. Testing wasn’t required to travel and once we arrived, we filled out a COVID form answering questions on where we had been and if we have been around anyone with the virus. Other than that, it was typical ‘entering the country’ forms. After we got our bags, we grabbed a car and drove to the resort. It was about a 40 min drive to Pueblo Bonito Pacifica.
The Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort:
Upon arrival, everyone is wearing masks and the security is awesome. We handed a few people our luggage to which they sprayed down and we went through a little machine called Armor Zone that checks your temperature and sprays some sanitization on you. You have to go through this every time you leave this location and come back!
We did a really simple check in and then went to our room. If you’re curious in booking this resort, you can do so here. Also wanted to mention they are at 35% capacity right now and you can view their care pledge here.
I loved our room. It was a spacious king size one bedroom. It had its own little pool too. We were on the first floor in the towers which came with it’s own butler experience (We had Stephano and couldn’t recommend him more), the VIP lounge, state of the art fitness facility which over looked the beach, the Peninsula restaurant in your all inclusive package, and the Cabana. They also have regular rooms as well. And of course, every room is all inclusive!
The resort is STUNNING. Pueblo Bonito has multiple locations but I really loved the Pacifica location. It’s adults only (no kiddos running around… yay!) and very romantic and private. Would be a perfect honeymoon or anniversary spot. It’s much smaller than the Sunset Beach resort next to them but you can shuttle over to Sunset Beach to eat or enjoy their pool too.

Food:
You know how sometimes all inclusive resorts don’t always have the best food? Well Pueblo Bonito’s was FANTASTIC. I seriously could move in. Even my mom (who has very high-end taste ha) thought every meal we had was incredible. The quality, the staff, the rooms, everything was worth every penny. I wanted to share where we ate throughout the Pueblo Bonito and Quivira Los Cabos area:
What Else Did We Do?
We didn’t leave the resort at all. We went to the Sunset Beach property but never left the Quivira Los Cabos area. That’s how we wanted it to be since there really was so much around us plus we just wanted to relax. We did check out the Armonia Spa which was heavenly…I did a relaxing massage. We also did a mixology class and a tequila tasting which was REALLY neat at their Refresca bar.
Outfits:
Thanks so much for following along our trip to Cabo San Lucas! It was so lovely to spend a little one on one time with my mom. XO!
