Happy Friday, friends! Can’t believe it’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yet again. If you’re new, I cover this sale every year on the best pieces. Today I wanted to share how you can prepare for the sale, my tips, and my own shopping list.
What is The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
You most likely know by know but just in case, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale happens once a year and is iconic for being one of the only sales that features NEW arrivals for Fall and Winter on major sale. Most stores put items on sale after they’ve been out but this sale is different in that everything goes ON SALE and then it goes off of sale and gets regular priced on August 31.
Why Shop?
I know times are not exactly normal right now. However, if you’re in need of certain Fall pieces and have the budget to do a little shopping, THIS is the sale to shop. Why? Because it’s amazing and always has the best, most trending yet classic pieces. Featuring brands like Topshop, Vince Camuto, Adidas, Madewell, Barefoot Dreams, etc.

- Get the Nordstrom card. Or borrow your mom’s lol!
The absolute best way to get full advantage of this sale is to shop it early access because everything sells out so fast. I have the Nordstrom credit card (only grab one if you can!) but in the previous years before I wanted to add another credit card to my name, I have always used my moms and paid her back. Whichever works for you, I highly recommend shopping early!
- Create a budget & Buy Fast
I will never promote going broke over a sale or some clothes. Create a budget for yourself for the sale (and even a list of what you really need) and stick to it. However, items sell out so fast so add to cart and check out ASAP. Nordstrom has free returns so whatever doesn’t work or whatever you don’t want to keep, you can return with no hassle.
- Shop Online
This is a personal preference but shopping in store can be so overwhelming with this sale and you often miss things. PLUS, we’re dealing with COVID-19 this year so I highly suggest staying home and shopping online. You can select pick up in store and do a curbside pick up or just get delivered to your home.
