Happy Monday! You may be reading this as you are drinking your Monday morning coffee lol… but I wanted to share our margarita recipe since people have been asking for it lately. It’s a super basic recipe… sometimes I’ll do a skinny margarita and skip the triple sec but we LOVE this marg when making them at home. P.S. We call it the ‘Martinez Margarita’ since our last name is Martinez haha. Tag me in your pics if you try it!!
- 2 shots lime juice- The type of lime juice you get is HUGE in the taste… we like to use the really nice pure lime juice you can find in the refrigerated section… not the cheap in the bottle.
- 1 shot tequila – or to taste. (Love: Altos, Casamigos, and El Jimador)
- 1/2 shot triple sec
- little bit agave- we just like a touch of it!
- shot of water
Blend it all up with ice for a frozen marg or pour the mixture over ice for on the rocks. Serve in fun margarita glasses and voila!
