Happy Monday! Hope your weekend was the best. Josh and I fully enjoyed doing absolutely nothing. Although, I did get a chance to clean the house and go through my closet so that’s a win. 🙂
Y’all probably know this by now but over the last 2 weeks I’ve been switching to a clean, aluminum-free deodorant. I took on a challenge with Native deodorant to make the switch. To be honest, I had no idea regular deodorant, aka antiperspirants, were even that bad for you until I started doing a little research about it. It’s crazy what all deodorant is doing to our bodies, which is why it’s SO important for your health to switch to a clean, paraben-free, deodorant.
Although, making the switch can sometimes be a little tough for everyone. Did you know it takes up to 14 days for your body to switch over?! And those 14 days can be rough as your body detoxes and gets used to it. I’m sure y’all have seen Native deodorant when browsing the beauty aisles at Target too which is why I knew I needed to try this!!
For me, about 2 days in I started sweating SO much more. I’ve never been a big “sweater” other than when I’m working out but my body seriously dripped in sweat from my armpits for a good week and a half every day. It was kinda weird, kinda gross, but also so interesting haha. After that, I would randomly start sweating every few days and it would be like water….. And then I think my body got completely used to it!!
So many people go through different experiences with the switch and that was mine. Not too bad at all!
My favorite scents are the Coconut & Vanilla (super versatile) and the Cucumber & Mint (my favorite when working out). The Lavender & Rose smells incredible but it irritated my skin!! Native has amazing customer service and I was able to exchange the Lavender & Rose no problem.
What does switching feel like?
Switching is different for everyone but it most likely feels like your body purging those chemicals. After 2 weeks Native will feel cleaner than traditional deodorants.
Is Native cruelty free?
Native never tests on animals!! They are also vegan!
What are the ingredients?
Caprylic Triglyceride, tapioca starch, ozokerite, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium hydroxide, coconut oil, cyclodextrin, shea butter, dextrose, and L. Acidophilus. Scented deodorants include a blend of oils!
Is there free shipping online?
Yes!! Native has free shipping & returns!
What’s Native made without?
Talc, aluminum, parabens, phlathates, sulfates.
If you start looking up why traditional deodorant is bad for you, you will go into a rabbit hole! Switching to a clean, aluminum-free deodorant has become SO easy and is just a grab away at your local stores. You can also order online and not even have to leave your home! Our health is the #1 most important thing and I think putting wholesome ingredients into it through our deodorant ( like tapioca starch and coconut oil) is a start in the right direction!
I now have a Native scent in every single one of my bags, in my car, and in both bathrooms in our house haha. I love it! Can’t wait to continue trying more scents out too.
Lastly, I want to challenge all of you to make the switch! It’s time to start making better choices for our health and bodies!
