Hi gal! Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I shared last week some different makeup remover wipes that I’ve been loving for my face and also shared the story about why I stopped using makeup wipes. I wanted to share all of that info here so you can read it and also share the makeup remover wipes I’ve been using. I’m a HUGE advocate of clean skin and having a good skincare routine. Many steps go into my routine and makeup wipes now happen to recently be one of them!
Let’s rewind.
Sophomore year of high school to sophomore year of college I had awful acne. I can’t tell you how many dermatologist appointments and acne creams I tried!! I tried everything from cutting out dairy to vegan makeup. Nothing worked for four years. Something I cut out immediately were my makeup remover wipes. I felt like the residue it was leaving was making me break out, even though I would cleanse my skin right after removing. I got so used to just doing a scrub about 4x on my face to get makeup off that it was just normal to me. The other month my roommate was taking off her makeup in our living room and was using a Neutrogena™ Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelette, and I was so envious about how quick and easy it was to remove hers without getting her whole shirt wet from a foam cleanser like I do.
I’ve had clear skin for a couple years now so I felt like my skin was beyond capable of handling a makeup wipe AND I realized that Neutrogena has a new version of their makeup wipes.I picked these Neutrogena™ Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes up super easily from my Walmart, in their skincare area, and I love that they are fragrance free, gentle on my skin, AND removes every bit of makeup from my face… including mascara! I’ve been using for a few weeks and my skin hasn’t had any breakouts and my lashes feel less tugged on. I also love that my skin doesn’t feel like it has a weird residue on it like it used to feel.
These are really affordable and make removing your makeup THAT much quicker and easier. Do y’all like makeup remover wipes!?
