Back again with more beauty for y’all! In today’s post, I wanted to share how I shape and do my eyebrows. I used to get them waxed or threaded and honestly, I really wanted to cut that $10-$20 expense out each month out. I very quickly learned how to do my brows how I like them. I have many steps to getting the shape I want each month after they grow out.
Removing the hair in between the eyebrows. IDK about y’all but the hair in between your brows grows like crazy for me. It’s so annoying! I used to go in for wax like 2x a month just for that area. I wanted to try out a DIY wax at home that I could just do myself. I don’t trust myself to do this below my brow but I do it in between them and above each eyebrow. This product is EASY which is the best part. Nad’s is also great for sensitive skin (like me!) and it’s not that hot wax that salons do that irritate the skin easily. The results are just like the salons and if you mess up (me a hundred times!) you can wash it away with water quickly and re-do. I really appreciate that this is a natural hair remover that’s easy to apply from home. This saves me so much money!
Tweeze below the brow or anything left I couldn’t strip with the wax. I have grown to love my tweezers which I NEVER did before. I like to use my tweezers for any stray hairs and also use them to pluck under my brows in the area I’m afraid to wax on.
Trim. I like my eyebrows to be cut shorter and lay flat. Mine are pretty thick so I find that it’s pretty necessary to trim them with scissors. Yes…. scissors haha. I have friends who are TERRIFIED that I do this to my brows and other friends that do this too!!! I get the little nail scissors from the drug store and use a spooly to brush the hair all the way up. From there, I go in and trim from the top of my brows. Any extra hair just get chopped and it leaves my brows less pesky. I will also brush them down and do the same with them
After that, my brows are in the shape I want and will stay that way for about 3-4 weeks. This is the shape I like for my face and I just go in and fill them in daily.
FILL. When doing my makeup I fill my brows in with a dip pomade. I just line the shape of my natural brow and fill them in, in the sparse areas. This is my typical brow routine and has been for about 3 years! 🙂
