I gotta say, I love these photos. I don’t know if it’s the trees, the vest, the shoes, or the backpack, but I love this winter outfit and everything about it. I’m preparing to run full force into the holiday and winter season. It gets really cold in Lubbock but the wind is what actually kills you. It’s awful and half the time I feel like I am going to honestly get blown away haha.
When I was first moving to Lubbock, we had heard that Winters are brutal. Not because of snow really (we only get about a day or two of snow) but that the wind gets so bad. Well now I’ve lived here three years and I can attest that YES winter in Lubbock is hard because of our wind. I’ve also shared that it tends to flood easily here as well. So, rain boots and resistant boots are a girls best friend come December-February.

I’m trying to get back on top of my schedule today after such a fun weekend. Josh and I went to my semi-formal Friday night with friends (SO MUCH FUN.) Saturday I got to hangout and catchup with my girlfriends and then Sunday Josh and I (and friends!) wen to a little cookout for my sorority. You betcha these boots were worn in our cold weather!!
