Happy Friday, friends! I’m praising the lord it’s the weekend because this girl needs some SUN, SLEEP, and SUGAR. Lol. But I really do need to catch up on sleep, lay by the sun or be active outside, and eat ice cream after this week of healthy eating.
Josh and I snapped these photos the other week when I was in Bastrop, Texas. Which is where he’s from for those that don’t know. We ran to the nearest Dairy Queen to add in a cute little prop for these photos and also because I constantly want ice cream in the Summer… anyone else!? If you keep scrolling, you’ll see the few ungraceful photos we snapped because let me tell you, it’s HOT and HUMID in Austin and my ice cream melted the second we got out of the car. Don’t know how you Austin people deal with that humidity!!
I’ve worn this whole outfit a couple of times because it’s a super outgoing look that I LOVE. And not to mention, the earrings alone are a party on your ears. My top is under $20 and comes in a TON of other colors if yellow isn’t your favorite.
Besides this outfit look, I’ve shockingly had a colorful summer so far. I’m not talking about my wardrobe haha. Yes, I’ve shared a ton of bright and colorful looks but it’s actually my life thats been colorful. Y’all are probably like what? But, many people can describe their life as dull or colorful. I truly thought mine would be dull this summer. Living in Lubbock, constantly working, being away from Josh, and not traveling. I was super quick to judge how my summer would be. Well, I’m about a month into it, and it’s become very colorful and fun. Â I’m thankful to be interning at a PR firm that I look forward to working for MWF. School work and this blog keep me extremely busy and I’ve been learning a lot from both. I’ve had my roommate/best friend here to keep me company and we’ve been enjoying Lubbock and seeing a whole new side of it.
I think most people have had or will probably have a Summer in their life where they think it will be boring, or lifeless, or just complain a lot and find every negative there is. I was that way in the beginning, but I’ve been totally inspired by this Summer so far and all that comes with it. If you’re in a new area, not happy, or just stuck, I recommend not sulking about it. I know that’s so easy to do and continue to just complain, but life is so beautiful in so many ways and it’s up to you to make the most of it. I chose to make my Summer colorful and it’s been bright and lively. If you’re in summer school, or working a job you may not care for anymore and feel a little stuck, I encourage you to get out this weekend to do something fun and colorful! <3
Thanks so much for reading today. Have a fabulous weekend!
