Praise the lord I’m done with another year of college!! I finished my last exam ( I have an online one this Tuesday so I guess not technically done but….) and I headed home to Dallas for a week on Friday. I wanted to share my personal summer plans with y’all so you can know what to expect from me. This Summer is going to be an ‘adult’ summer. By that I mean I won’t be traveling each week, sleeping till 11am everyday, and going out a night, etc. The past summers have been my break from school, my time to live my life. But this summer is going to be really different. I think I’ve complained to my mom about 100 times about it but as I’ve taken the time to accept it and appreciate the opportunities I’ve been blessed with, I’m ok with it. I’m actually excited for it.
So, I’ll be home for a week before my official summer schedule starts. I’m going to take this time to be with my family, do fun things in Dallas, and rest. After that, I’ll be in Lubbock all summer. I’m taking Summer 1 and 2 to get some classes out of the way. On top of that, I’ll be working a part-time job to save, and I’m extremely blessed to have been given the opportunity to intern for a local PR agency. I’ll be working for them 3x a week, working the other days for the blog and part-time job, going to school everyday for 2 hours, and studying/homework all other hours. Sounds like a lot or is that just me? But, I thrive best with multiple things on my plate. It’s one summer of hard-work and grinding but I’m so thankful for it.
I have a few weekend trips planned this summer just to have at least a tiny bit of fun, but I’m so excited to get this summer knocked out and accomplished.
My top is originally from Zara, but I linked a few camo options. I love this print. I’ve worn it with a cute skirt and heels for chapter, and then with jean shorts and bright pops of accessories for lunch. I think many people who are afraid of prints steer away from this but it’s a really cute grunge print that’s super easy to style. BTW: my jean shorts are linked and they are $20!! $20 people. I’ve tried expensive jean shorts and also these and these win every time. I adore these and yes they’re from Forever 21, but this pair is awesome.
