Hello from NYC! I flew in Thursday night and had a full day ahead. I wanted to share my fashion week schedule, events, restaurants, etc. every day with y’all. I’m currently on my way home to Lubbock and can’t wait.
Can I just say that this whole time I have terribly missed my roommates and two new kittens! One of my roommates and I bought two baby kittens on Labor Day and have been nursing them back to health and they are seriously so cute. When I left I was in total mom mode. I was like “Ok so… you know to give them their medicine twice a day, and if you have people over put them up..” to my roommate, she was like lady I got this haha but I seriously feel like we have two precious new babies and I hated being away from them!
Thursday:
Thursday was mostly my travel day. I flew from Lubbock at 10am to Houston, and then boarded a flight from Houston to NYC landing around 5:40 pm. I met up with one of my friends Natalie to Uber to my hotel. We are staying at the cutest little boutique hotel near Central Park called The Shoreham Hotel. They gave us an awesome media rate and I’m staying with three other fellow bloggers. Honestly, I grabbed something quick to eat at a market nearby our hotel, and then went straight to sleep!
Friday:
My morning started at 7:00am where I woke up, got ready for my day and headed out into the city to find coffee and head to my first showroom appointment. I had a fun appointment with Baublebar viewing their showroom. I absolutely love Baublebar and adored viewing their collections. Whenever I update my jewelry collection, I always turn to them first. After an hour there, I had about a 4 hour break to eat and explore the city. We all went to eat at a LOVELY brunch spot by Madison Square Garden called La Pecora Bianca. Y’all have to put this on your list to eat at when you got to NYC next. We sat next to some of my favorite you tubers of all time. Alex Garza and Mallory Ervin. Both are so successful in the beauty industry and are the sweetest humans!! Once we ate, I actually sat my butt in a Starbucks for an hour to finish up my homework that I had due while in NYC haha…. #collegekidprobs. I ran back to the hotel to freshen up and then headed out to my first fashion week show. I went to the Chromat Hyperwave show at Milk Studios. It was SO fun and really interesting. From there I went to Katie Gallagher’s presentation which was definitely interesting haha! It was in a warehouse type thing and very intimate. It was great, other than the fact it was like 200 degrees inside. One of my other blog friends, Annaliese, from Southern Belle in Training came to NYC for this show so I got to spend the evening with her. After, I went to the Lulu’s Style Studio event which was a super fun party that I wish I could’ve stayed longer for. If y’all haven’t checked out Lulu’s you should!! They have such cute clothes. From there, we went to the Demoo Parkchoonmoo show at 9pm which was a great show! We ended our night at Shake Shack and then to bed haha. I had plans to go out afterwards with a friend from Dallas but y’all… I was not prepared for how tired these shows would make me!
As far as outfits, I wore this blush crop top with the cutest bell sleeves and a grey pencil skirt to my bauble bar appointment. Then I changed into my white frill skirt and snake skin shoes for my 3 shows for the night. I loved both of these looks and it’s always so fun to change for night time.
Check back tomorrow for Day 2 of NYFW!
