Happy Monday, pretties!!
This is my last week of work (in the office) before moving back to college. I’m kinda sad, just because I really love working in the office… but excited to start another semester very soon.
I don’t know about y’all… but skincare is one of my favorite, yet most frustrating subjects. I used to break out a lot in high school and I felt like it was a constant battle with my face to get clear. It’s still not the best (scars, and hyper pigmentation) but it has improved a RIDICULOUS amount. I still break out under stress though, but there isn’t a product that is going to cure that. #sadface
The one thing I can say that helped the most with my skin is having a short and simple routine that I stuck to. Changing products on your face a lot will cause it to react differently each time. Find an easy and clean product, and stick to it. I’ve got my morning routine down to the minimum and I love it. Not only because of how quick it is; but because I have sensitive skin, I know my skin won’t freak out on me during the day with this skincare routine.
Step 1: Wash- I SWEAR by Cetaphil… especially if you have sensitive skin. It’s extremely gentle. If you like a more luxury product, go for the Fresh Soy Facial Cleanser. It’s amazing, just more expensive.
Step 2: Tone- I always tone my face. I’m also pretty sure I’ve tried every drug store toner possible, and high end ones as well. I heard about Micellar water through youtube years ago, and I finally got my hands on one in the summer when I was in Montreal. You can order it off of amazon for around $30 and it’s life changing. It doesn’t burn, takes any dirt off, and gets the job done.
Step 3: Moisturize- I have used the Neutrogena Water Gel moisturizer the past year and I’ve never loved anything more. It’s light, it absorbs fast and easily, and it’s affordable. The Clinique one is also amazing for a high end moisturizer as well.
See, now how quick was that!? It literally takes me 6 mins in the morning to do my skincare. And I know it will never break me out. Here are all of the products I’ve used for my skin, as well as high end and drug store alternatives that I love.
