Hi everyone! First off, let me just say sorry for the quality of these photos! I shot these outfits before actually going through rush so I would be able to show y’all better. I was in a bit of a rush to get them done, therefore the lighting and quality is definitely off. During recruitment I definitely took the time to do my makeup and hair better haha. Anyways, on to the good stuff!!!
Round One: This round was just cute shorts and a Texas Tech t-shirt. We got to visit all 12 sororities and let me just say… IT WAS A LONG DAY.
Round Two: This day was the first day we had cuts. I was dropped from some I liked and I dropped some as well. The thing to keep in mind when going through is that everything happens for a reason. I went to 8 houses this day non stop. I got a schedule and I was lucky enough to have all 8 in a row starting at 9:30 am. It’s safe to say it was another exhausting day. We had to wear a sundress and then your choice of sandals or wedges but of course I picked wedges!
Round Three: This day we went down to five houses. You don’t always get a full schedule but some do! Again, I dropped some I didn’t quite felt like fit me, and some that I liked dropped me! This day I had 4 sororities that I truly loved and could see myself in. That night we had to drop three and pick two, in hope you would get the two the next day. It was so extremely hard to only pick two when you loved four. My tip to myself during the time and what I want to pass to others is that you should think about all aspects. Maybe one is more popular, or one has a better philanthropy that interests you more, etc. But look for the two that have the full package that fits best for YOU. When I thought about that and about the type of girls I talked too, I narrowed mine down to two houses easily.
Preference Night: This night we had two houses. The two I had left I absolutely LOVED. It was such a tough decision…. Later we went to the arena and chose our first and second preference. Literally was so happy but nervous at the same time.
Bid Day:
THIS WAS THE BEST DAY! I was so confident with my choice and after being apart of Zeta Tau Alpha for a little under a week I already know I made the best decision for myself. I can’t wait for what the year holds and to get to know all of my sisters.
